Personnel . . .
Linda Mansfield - President
There's no substitute for experience, and Linda Mansfield has solid experience as a motorsports journalist and public relations representative.
Raised in the sprint car hotbed of Central Pennsylvania (yes, she's a member of the Pennsylvania Posse!), she had a motorsports column in her local newspaper before she was old enough to have a driver's permit. That led to assignments in other sports, general spot news, and even local and state government beats on a part-time basis while in high school and college.
When she was graduated from Shippensburg (Pa.) University with a degree in communications and a double major of print journalism and advertising and public relations, she had already written more than 100 newspaper articles on a wide variety of topics; had been a steady contributor to the souvenir programs at several racetracks, and had sold a feature story to Stock Car Racing magazine. That impressed the dean of American motorsports journalists, Chris Economaki, who hired her as the first woman staffer at National Speed Sport News.
After three years as the news editor at NSSN Mansfield took afull-time job at Lebhar-Friedman Publications on Park Avenue in Manhattan. She kept working in racing on a freelance basis, however, and she also continued to serve as a correspondent for NSSN. She feels her greatest strength as a PR rep is her journalism background.
When the subject of her first newspaper feature story started a NASCAR Busch Grand National team, Mansfield expanded her work to include public relation for that effort. She hasn't stopped since. When her client roster had grown enough to draw her back into the sport full-time she left Lebhar-Friedman after five years there, although she continued to freelance there for many years thereafter. Lebhar-Friedman specializes in retail business publications, and she has written for or edited every L-F property. She has also copy-edited advertisements and advertorials for many Fortune 500 companies that commissioned special supplements for L-F publications.
But once a racer, always a racer. She helped start the U.S. Formula Ford 2000-East series and the U.S. Formula Ford 2000 national championship by serving as both series' first PR director. A similar position followed with the ARDC CARQUEST Midget Series. She continued to write and edit a wide variety of publications, did graphic design work (including several racing parts catalogs), and even edited four books.
Work with individual drivers and teams also continued. When some of the drivers she'd worked with in support series entered Indy Car and endurance sports car racing, they already understood how important a good PR rep was to their efforts, and they hired her to help them in those forms of the sport too.
The rest, as they say, is history, as most drivers who work with Mansfield quickly realize that they never again want to race without her help behind the scenes.

Geoff Dodge - accounting and general help.
Without Geoff Dodge we'd be buried in paperwork and totally stressed out. But like a knight in shining armor, Geoff comes in periodically to organize, record and file the papers we've left for him in a handy Red Line Oil box. Somehow he can find things when we can't, and he helps us get everything ready for our accountant, Jim Walker of Koehler, Ruxer, Walker & Co., each spring. We also give Geoff other jobs to do as we can talk him into it. He's busy driving sprint cars (see the Restart Communications sprinter in the photo section and also geoffdodge.com) as well as attending college, so we're grateful that he's willing to pitch in as his schedule permits. Joe Jennings - photographer
Joe Jennings takes stunning photographs and he's a great writer to boot!
He enjoys his camera work the most, taking action shots as well as candid photos that really capture his subjects. He does reprints and enlargements in a flash too!
Photos carrying Joe Jennings' credit line may be ordered by contacting him directly: jjennings500@hotmail.com.
And speaking of photography, Restart Communications is also deeply indebted to the Indy Racing League/Indianapolis Motor Speedway photography department, which always fills our requests for photos quickly and professionally too.
Dave Reininger - writer
Dave Reininger is an award-winning motorsports journalist and broadcaster who pitches in when we're especially busy, like in the month of May.
Reininger also freelances at www.motorsport.com and he serves as a spotter for Andretti Green Racing. He conducts pit and garage area tours for corporate guests.
Reininger does an excellent job and he has a great sense of humor. He doesn't mind hitting the mall during a rain-out. He saves us a seat at the sprint car races and he comes equipped with his own scooter. He and his wife, Laura, also own a house next door to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Bert Price - webmaster
Bert Price is a professor in graphic design at the University of South Florida. He has 30 years of experience as a photographer with National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, Elle, GQ.
Bert is now working on video projects for The Learning Channel and The New England Journal of Medicine when not pursuing his new passion, the Indy Racing League.

Jill Shamon has an extensive motorsports hospitality background working with groups as small as 10 and as large as 1,000.
